What if my event imported as the wrong type of activity?
Events on your TeachBoost Coach Calendar that do not include any other attendees can only be imported as ‘Other Coaching Responsibilities’, unless they are adjusted before you import.
If you've already imported your event as an 'Other Coaching Responsibilities' activity, you can re-import it as a 'Meeting' or 'Classroom Visit' by following the instructions below.
Note: This is the most common occurrence of calendar events accidentally imported as the wrong type of activity. If your calendar event incorrectly imported as a 'Meeting' or 'Classroom Visit,' you can follow similar directions here.
Adjust your event before importing
Add a member of your coaching team to your event before manually importing by clicking the + button in the ‘Attendees’ section.
Once your coachee is added, your event can then be imported as either a ‘Meeting’ or ‘Classroom Visit’ activity type.
Correct your event if already imported
- Go to your Calendar page, and click on an activity that needs adjusted
- Select Delete
- Your activity should now appear striped-gray in the calendar > Click on the same activity once again
- In the 'Attendees' section, click the + button
- Add in the appropriate coachee to the event (by clicking the blue Add button next to their name)
- Once added, select the purple 'Begin importing to TeachBoost' button at the bottom
- On the next page, feel free to adjust the 'Activity Type' and/or 'Event Type' by using the drop-downs
- Lastly, click the blue 'Import to TeachBoost' button at the bottom
Once these steps are completed, your event should be imported as the correct activity type, and with your coachee properly listed within TeachBoost Coach.
Fix your 'Meeting' or 'Classroom Visit'
If your event has been incorrectly imported as a 'Meeting' or a 'Classroom Visit', follow these steps to re-import it as the correct activity type:
- Locate and click on the event from your TeachBoost Coach Calendar to open it
- Click on the Manage Event button outlined in blue in the top-right
- Delete your event
- Go back to your Calendar, and click on the same activity once again
- Adjust to the correct 'Activity Type' and/or 'Event Type' by using the drop-downs
- Lastly, click the blue 'Import to TeachBoost' button at the bottom
Pro-tip: Once your 'Meeting' or 'Classroom Visit' has been correctly re-imported, you can click on the Manage Event option again to edit your event's title and remove the appended 'Canceled:' tag.
